12+ Ways to Make Money Online [ 2020 Update ]

For many people, making money online will be a dream come true. If they can find a way to make money from a website or any other online business, they can quit their jobs to focus on entrepreneurship, spend more time with family, and finally regain control of their time and life.

The insane thing is that making money online is not a pipe dream. I have been doing this for almost a decade with my Good Financial Saints website. I also know thousands of other people who are making money online in their own way with unique websites, courses, or marketing strategies.

Now here's the good news. Most online income strategies are not complicated. Like any business, it takes time to grow your online revenue. You must be prepared to spend the time and energy you need to get your idea off the ground and you must be determined to continue it, even if your journey is slow after you first start.

Here are some of the best and most practical strategies to consider if you are not sure where to start if you want to make money online:

1: Google Adsense

If you've visited a website, you've seen Google ads. These ads are everywhere and for good reason. Not only sound education but his alertness and dedication too are most required.

One of the great things about Google AdSense is that it is very easy to configure. If you have a blog or website, you can sign up for a free Google AdSense Account. From there Google will give you a unique code to paste into your website. Google picks it up from there, tracks your page visits, traffic, and revenue for you. There is no maintenance or maintenance to make it work which makes it clear if you already have a website.

How Much Money Do You Make? I think my best month with Google AdSense was about $ 5,000 in the last ten years. This amazing month blew my mind, as it was nearing the beginning of my blogging journey. When you go from zero to $ 5,000 a month, it will shake your world. For me, I was more excited because I knew there were other ways to monetize.

2: Affiliate Marketing

If you have a website or are still dreaming of seeing blog ideas, you can also search for authorized marketing. With authorized marketing, you associate brands and businesses with the content of your website. If you specify a product or service, link to that product or service using a unique affiliate code that you received when you enrolled in that particular authorized session program. From there, every time someone buys a product or service through your link you will make money.

Generally speaking, you may want to partner with authors related to your blog concept. As a financial advisor, I have focused on many of my affiliate energy financial products such as savings accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts.

In addition to subscribing to individual authorized programs, you can also subscribe to an authorized advertising network that provides a bunch of different authorized organizations in one place. That way, you can see what works and what doesn't work overtime.

If you’re looking for inspiration, my friend Michelle Schroeder-Gardner from the Making Sense of Sense website has become an expert in all approved marketing. Michelle earns 100 100,000 a month from her blog, and most of her income comes from authorized sales. Michelle has been so successful in affiliate marketing that she even has her own course called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing.

While Michelle works with many affiliates in the financial services industry, one of her biggest partners is a blog hosting company called Bluehost. It shows that if you know your audience and generate enough traffic to generate sales, you can monetize almost any authorized company or product.

3: Consulting

Another way to make money online is through thorough advice. If you are an expert in any field, you can find people who are willing to pay you to advise you on your personal or business goals. You may think that consulting with big companies isn’t important enough, but you might be surprised at the kind of experience people will pay for.

My colleague Robert Farrington of The College Investor is a good example of someone who has consulted on any potential industry online. Robert told me that after years of blogging, several brands came to him for help with social media and online marketing.

Robert said he does an average of 4-6 of these concerts over the course of each year, depending on his schedule and the work involved. The best part is that he charged a flat rate that usually works out to about 100 100 an hour. And remember, you earned this salary for advising on the best way to use social media tools like Facebook and Pinterest to grow your brands.

If you are not sure what to do next if you want to start consulting, you can also set up a free account via Clarity.fm. This website allows anyone to set up a free profile for advice. Once you set up your profile, people will look for it and book a session for which you will be paid.

4: Online Courses

It is also possible to set up an online course that you can market online if you have any skills that you can teach others. You can find online courses that teach everything from cooking to marketing to even freelance writing. Heck, I'm even offering my own course for financial advisors who want to run their own business online - the formula for growing online consultants.

Last year I described it to my friend Joseph Michael from Easy Course Creation. Michael offers a variety of courses, including a software writing course called "Screwiner". Over the years, Michael has achieved by selling six or more annual courses that help people achieve his kind of success.

Most people set up their online courses through platforms like Teacable.com. Instructive, you can upload your course materials and use the platform to manage clients and receive payments.

5: Podcasting

Another way to make money online is to host podcasts online. My Financial Center has podcasts for me with my blog and I use that platform all the time in search of new sponsors and advertisers.

I still got my first sponsor on the podcast and discovered that they were willing to pay $ 8,000 to include a short clip at the beginning of each podcast for 90 days. This time was incredibly exciting for me, as I wasn’t sure if I could monetize my podcast first.

However, there are many people who earn much more than me in their podcasts. Take the Entrepreneur on Fire podcast presented by John Lee Dumas. According to the show’s most recent earnings report, this podcast net earned more than 400,000 net in March 2018 Now Now, it’s crazy.

The key to moving forward with podcasting is finding your niche, increasing the audience, and then finding ways to monetize and connect with sponsors. This is not the easiest way to make money online as it takes a lot of logistics to write, record, and edit a podcast but it is worth considering.

6: Book Sales

When the publishing industry used to print a lot, nowadays you can complete the whole process of writing, publishing, and marketing a book online. Websites like Space Creation allow you to print and load your book without the involvement of an official publisher, and you can even get your book from Amazon.com so people can buy it.

A blogger known as Joseph Hogg has a successful blog (my work from Home Word) and a rich book publishing business. Hogg wrote several books published online to create a continuous source of multiple passive incomes. He says he sells about 685 books a month to make an average of 68,857 a month. Books aren't bad, huh?

If you think you can write a book that people want to buy, this is a smart strategy to consider that your costs may be minimal and you probably already have a computer and word processing software.

7: Lead Sales

Another way to make money online is to collect lead. One of the main steps you need to take to lead sales work is to build a website, get traffic to that website, and make sure the collections you are collecting are actually paid for by someone.

Here’s a great example of how lead sales can work in real life: My second website, Life Insurance by Jeff, brings a lot of traffic from people searching the web for answers to life insurance-related questions. When I set up the website to be able to sell life insurance to these people, I had a lot of work to process all the different applications and clients. As a result, I started selling the leads I collected instead.

Basically, top buyers agree to pay for personal information obtained from people who visit my website. This is beneficial for everyone because I pay for the leads and have contact with my website visitors who can help them.

However, keep in mind that you can sell leads in a variety of industries, not life insurance. Honestly, all you have to do is discover a niche, build a website, and traffic and see how much you can get for your collected leadership.

8: Freelance Writing

If you have writing skills and creative talents, you can be paid to create content online. I don't do as much as I used to, but I know how effective this income flow is.

Holly Johnson, a blogger I know actually earns more than, 200,000 a year to create content for other websites. And in fact, it's on top of the six figures that his blog, Club Thrifty, has.

Holly told me that she started writing content in 2011 at the time she was still working full time, but created part-time online content to supplement her income. Over time, he was able to double and triple his rate until he quit his full-time job writing job. Nowadays, she works as a freelance writer and teaches others how to do it through her online course, Arn More Writing.

According to Johnson, the key to doing this as a freelance writer is to find a niche, a network with people who can hire you and provide high-quality content 100 percent of the time. There are plenty of writing boards to help you get started, but he says it's very easy for newcomers to find writing on websites like Upwork.com.

9: Sponsored Posts

If you have a website or a large following on social media, you can also make money by posting ads and sponsored posts. But how does this work? Basically, companies are willing to pay bloggers and influencers on social media to promote their products and services. If you have a platform, be it a blog or a lot of followers on Instagram, you can take charge.

I was absolutely impressed to get the first sponsored post from Good Financial Center. I think they only gave me 100 100, but I had a lot of money at the time. Later of course I realized that the companies that wanted to sponsor posts only wanted a link from my website to their own site. For that reason, I started raising my rates.

Nowadays, I charge around 4 4,500 for sponsored posts. In addition, I have explicitly identified all sponsored content as a #advertisement to comply with Google's Terms and Conditions. I only promote the organizations I use or trust.

But I also know bloggers who get 20,000 20,000 for sponsored posts. It’s pretty crazy, but it shows what’s possible.

However, keep in mind that you don't need a website to create sponsored content, because you can pay if you have a large following on social media. My wife has lots of followers on Instagram and gets all kinds of sponsorships. Not only do they give you cash, but we also get a lot of free stuff. We got free rugs, lights, and carpet cleaners. However, he only promotes the things he likes so this strategy works very well for him.

10: Webinars

Need more ideas on how to make money online? Another strategy is to use webinars to market your product, service, or course. I have put up webinars to promote my financial planning practice and increase interest in my online courses for financial advisors. With a webinar, you can usually find lots of free advice and suggestions in a live format. But in the end, he offered his product or payment service to secure some offers.

Professional speaker Grant Baldwin uses webinars to market his public speaking courses, including getting Booked and Paid to Speak. After Baldwin provided many free tips during his webinar, he finally provided his course for those who want to pay for more learning. And, many times, your sales pitch works.

It’s not that hard to host a webinar regardless of what you’re selling and persuade people to sign up for a major magnet or Facebook ad. Hello, If you search hard enough you will probably find a free webinar on how to create your first webinar.

11: YouTube

YouTube is another platform that has made it possible for people to make money online. If you think about it, there are plenty of YouTube channels on any subject and most people who have a lot of followers are making some money from their videos and time.

Antonio Centeno, a menswear expert who turned into a navy officer, has built a million-dollar business from his YouTube channel Real Men Real Style.

Last year, Forbes introduced some of the best players on the YouTube scene. According to the survey, the top ten highest-earning YouTube stars collected 12 7,127 million from June 2016 to June 2017. One of the most popular players, DantTM, earned $ 16.5 million from himself.

Will you earn so much? Probably not. However, you can start earning money through YouTube by using the platform's own ad network or by accepting sponsored posts. If you want to make videos, starting a YouTube channel can be a fun way to make some money.

12: Build an Online Community

Last but not least, you can also make money online by creating an online community, although the monetization strategies you can follow vary depending on your goals for example you can create a community with a blog. You can create an online forum and charge people for membership. You can even use your influence there to create a Facebook group and sell and promote products.

My good friends Shane and Jocelyn Sams specialize in creating online communities. They now have one for their website: Flipped Lifestyle. This community shows how to create an online business and connects entrepreneurs who follow similar dreams.

Prior to this group, teachers had an online community to search for curricula. It may seem quite random but the kind of community you can create and bring people together is so crazy. If this is something you are passionate about and you want to connect with others who have the same passion, then an online community is something you must consider.

Bottom line

There are several ridiculous ways to make money online, and the ones I've covered here are the core of Iceberg. If you have the time, a passion for almost anything, and at least some creative skills, if you give yourself enough time, you can create an online stream of online income or more.

However, just don’t believe me. If you search online, you will find thousands of success stories that you can use as inspiration.

One day you can create your own success story. You will never know if you don't try.
